Welfare Association Jared (WAJ) is a leading humanitarian and development organization working in Upper Hazara for over three decades. WAJ focuses on community empowerment, disaster response, environmental protection, gender justice, and inclusive development through participatory and localized approaches.
Role Summary:
WAJ is seeking a motivated and community-oriented Community Mobilization Associate to support field implementation, community engagement, and awareness activities under ongoing humanitarian and development projects. The role involves working closely with local communities, partner organizations, and project teams to ensure effective outreach and participation.
Key Responsibilities
=Conduct community meetings, mobilization sessions, and orientations with men, women, and youth groups.
=Facilitate beneficiary identification, verification, and selection using transparent and inclusive methods.
=Maintain regular communication with community leaders, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
=Support the implementation of awareness campaigns, trainings, and community-led activities.
=Collect field data, prepare reports, and document success stories and feedback.
=Building close coordination with YWCs
Required Qualifications
=Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
=At least 3 to 5 years of experience in community mobilization, field work, or humanitarian projects.
=Strong communication skills in Urdu, Hindko, and/or local languages.
=Ability to work in remote areas and with diverse community groups.
=Good reporting, documentation, and coordination skills.
Desirable Skills
=Experience with gender programs, protection, DRR, or livelihoods projects.
=Familiarity with humanitarian standards (CHS, Sphere, AAP).
=Basic knowledge to work on MS Office.
=Experience in using MS Office.
=Prior experience working with NGOs/INGOs.
