Welfare Association Jared (WAJ), a non-profit organization working in the fields of health, education, and livelihood, has been a consistent advocate for community welfare and development. WAJ is also an active member of the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN), one of Pakistan’s most credible civil society networks.
In November 2024, Mukhtar Javed, a founding member of WAJ and a seasoned civil society activist, was elected as the Chairperson of FAFEN for a three-year term. His election not only reflects the trust placed in his leadership but also highlights WAJ’s long-standing commitment to strengthening democratic processes and promoting good governance in Pakistan.
